I think of crystal as having that high note when you click it. I think of glass as having more that led bell sound. I would call this glass. It is very attractive and functional. It is not high quality, but I got what I paid for so am satisfied although a little disapointed.

Size is a little smaller than I would have liked, but it has adequate surface area to aerate one 750ml bottle. I am concerned by the thin glass...especially around the top. This makes cleaning a more delicate issue, and it may not hold up to everyday use. Consequently, it is a good back-up decanter. I wish the glass was thicker.
