I like this drying stand much better than the previous version which did not have the protective coating where the decanter rests in the drying stand.

This was bought to replace a decanter dryer that consisted of a flimsy stick screwed into a base. We needed something that was not going to tip over and break the decanter. This is an excellent drying rack, and the new addition of the plastic collar that keeps the metal from contacting the glass is a super addition.

A great improvement over leaving the decanter on a grid to drain. Water evaporates much more rapidly, doesn't leave spots.

This is a must and a very useful product for any one who enjoys wines. Decanters are imposable to dry thus causing water sediment stains in the bottom. Ask yourself if this will alter the taste of your next bottle of Cabernet, I believe it does. I picked this up for a friend who commented that she couldn?t get her decanter dried causing water stains. I have a decanter drying stand but this one is mush more secure in design I will be picking one up for myself.

After a great deal of research, I purchased this decanter drying stand with the special rubber coating for scratch protection as a Christmas gift for a daughter. Other stands did not have this added feature that protect the glass on the decanter.
