Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
ALthough it struggles with hard plastic corks, it does get them out, unlike some corkscrews I've tried. But it's also hard to get the hard plastic corks off the pull once they're out of the bottle. I'd buy it again - sleek and otherwise well-designed.
