I purchased this model based on the Cook's Illustrated recommendation last year. After several months of use,the metal pin fell out. It was easy to put back in. But just recently, the lever broke in half! We have two of these models, and the other one seems to be just fine. However, I am disappointed in the durability of the product.

Once I figured out how to use this corkscrew I was able to open wine bottles in mere seconds. Its very easy to get the corks out and it seems well made. The foil cutter doesn't work very well, but is a nice idea. I also seems to have some trouble unscrewing the cork from the corkscrew after removing it, but its a small annoyance. I recommend this corkscrew.

The cork screw broke on the first use!
