The Personalized Reclaimed Wine Barrel Head Cork Collectors Display does not have hardware on the back of it. However, there are 3 wooden pieces on the back of the barrel. There is one on the center top which is 5 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide and 2 one inch by 1 1/2 inch on either side of the barrel at the bottom. You certainly can get a hanging wire kit so you can hang it safely.
I bought one for my dad for christmas. His came with a wooden cleat. There's one on the back of the barrel and a second one that you mount to the wall. Then you just slide the two cleats together. It's pretty easy to mount too.
I would love to write an honest review on this product, but I am biased due to the fact it still has not delivered, 8 weeks past the purchase date. Called customer care 3 times and no one can tell me where my barrel is!!
Our "personalized" wine barrel cork collectors display is very attractive placed on a bare wall in our kitchen. It is well made and will hold enough corks for a few years. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it is difficult to read the personalized inscription unless you stand inches away from it. I am hoping that when the corks get past the inscription, it will be easier to read from a distance.
