I ordered this item as a gift but had it sent to me so I could personally present it to the recipient. When I opened the box I was disappointed to see that the glue which secured the marble piece to the bottle stopper was visible and somewhat sloppily applied. I proceeded, however, to gift the stopper to my friend. The Italian marble with personalized "wine label" was very pretty.
I bought this as a gift for a close friend. My only complaint about it is that the clear glue that was used to attach the marble piece to the metal bottom of the stopper was quite thickly applied and very visible. That didn't cause me to return the item, however.
I placed my initial order June 5, 2013. When I received It several weeks later, the product was not the quality that I was expecting. I replaced the order right away (several weeks ago), but have not received it yet. I am very disappointed! This was going to be a gift for a married couple who are good friends for a party that was June 23, 2013. Today is July 21, 2013, & I still haven't received a replacement product for the defective one I received a few weeks ago. Even since this item is a "farmed-out" vendor, "Wine Enthusiasts" is ultimately responsible for the expedition of the order, and they have "dropped-the-ball" following-through to even check with me to see if I have received the replacement. I doubt very seriously if I ever place another order with "Wine Enthusiasts" again. I am very disappointed!
The stopper feels very durable. It is a bit heavier in weight due to it being made out of stone. Over time it may dislodge itself from the stopper piece, but only time will tell. The customization was excellent as well.
This stopper is really good quality and attracts a lot of attention with my friends. Originally , it came in with the wrong name and the Company quickly and at no additional charge replaced it. A great company to work with.
