does this rack have to be assembled?

BEST ANSWER: It definitely requires assembly.
Do NOT tighten down any screws until the entire unit is assembled! It will make your life easier :-)

Elegant wine storage...needs one more thing
This wine rack is a beautiful elegant addition for storing our wines. We love the look of it at the bottom of our staircase heading into our "wine cellar". The one thing it needs is a method for preventing select wine bottles from slipping forward depending on the shape of the bottle. I may add a piece of small rubber to add friction to the wine holders.

Looks great but a headache to assemble
We received the 42 bottle jail and once it was assembled, it looks great. The problem is assembling it. The screw holes were misaligned and two holes were stripped out and wouldn‘t hold the screws. It took two of us, along with clamps to align the holes and get it all put together.
