The unit is nice looking and fits in well in our very modern Arthur Rutenberg home. We placed it 30" off the floor so everything is at eye level, the bottles easily identified and accessible. The blue interior lighting is pretty much useless since the shelves are so close together but might impress the casual observer.

It is quiet enough, about twice the noise level of our GE Profile refrigerator which you almost can't hear. The top five shelves will hold six standard bottles awkwardly and are really designed for five. The bottom shelf has a different organization style and it would be better if all six shelves had the same design.

The electric plug was exceptionally long and it would be better if it had a flat style plug used on most refrigerators. We had to modify the existing outlet.

I have yet to figure out how the temperature controls work, maybe they are faulty. The factory temperature settings can be lived with, but it is disappointing for such a pricy unit.

Would I buy it again? Probably. I have had other wine refrigerators and they all have their individual shortcomings. Good looks and overall visual appeal is what is best about the unit.

Unit quit one month after the expiration of the one year warranty. Appliance repair tech says it needs a new compressor and control board. Cost to repair is almost the price of a new one. I agree with other reviews that the fan cycles every 10 seconds or so and can be annoying in a quite environment. In all fairness my Viking cooler compressor is noiser but it did not have a constantly cycling fan and is still running 13 years later. The unit is attactive and reasonably priced but it appears that quality control is a major problem.

Comments about N'FINITY PRO 46 Dual Zone Wine Cellar (Stainless Steel Right Hinge):

The unit looks great, and I love the ratio of white to red wine shelving area. However, it is extremely loud. The description that this is a quite unit is completely false. It is much louder than my kitchen refrigerator. I was hoping the compressor would cycle off for extended periods of time once it reached its target temperature. But, it only cycles off for a few seconds at a time. Additionally, the temperature at times strays several degrees from the target temp. I'm not sure why that happens since the compressor is almost always running.

Good But Not Great . . Yet

Comments about N'FINITY PRO 46 Dual Zone Wine Cellar (Stainless Steel Right Hinge):

I have two of these coolers that are installed in a bar area. The coolers look great and chill well when you follow the instructions for installation. You do have to be careful to leave adequate space because you have to open the door extremely wide for the shelf to have clearance from the door gasket to slide out and if you are using larger bottles, they have to slid out for arrangement. They are loud, especially when full and I am concerned about one that runs all the time. But, they get the job done and are priced well.

Comments about N'FINITY PRO 46 Dual Zone Wine Cellar (Stainless Steel Right Hinge):

The unit is extremely noisy, with two separate fans that constantly cycle on and off. The compressor is very loud and also cycles on and off frequently. The shelves are not deep enough or wide enough to hold 46 bottles (as advertised) when stacked properly. Overall a very disappointing unit.

Comments about N'FINITY PRO 46 Dual Zone Wine Cellar (Stainless Steel Right Hinge):

This is the second unit. The first one died within six months and was under warranty. A new unit was sent. It has been two years-expected more longevity. Temperature settings have never been consistent-lived with it. LED display had a malfunction early on-lived with it. Very loud-lived with it. Stopped cooling completely-cant live THAT! Actual temperature indicated 84 degrees F. This a very pretty unit, but is very unreliable. Save yourself a headache and choose a different manufacturer

      Humming every 15 seconds :(

Comments about N'FINITY PRO 46 Dual Zone Wine Cellar (Stainless Steel Right Hinge):

Another reviewer stated: "Humming cycle every 30 seconds!!" Mine humms every 15 seconds. Even my guests have timed it :(

If you have a lot of back ground sounds in your home you may not even notice. My home is VERY quite and the humming is painfully obvious.

I called Customer Service about it and was told that this is NORMAL and it is a fan designed designed save energy by not having to run the compressor (louder noise) more often.

I should have returned the unit because of this noise, but have unfortunately kept it. Deeply regret my purchase because of this one defect.

        • Garage Or Basement

Comments about N'FINITY PRO 46 Dual Zone Wine Cellar (Stainless Steel Right Hinge):

The Pro 46 looks great and holds a lot of bottles for it's size. The controls are simple and well thought out. It is relatively quite, about the same volume as my Kenmore refidgerator. However, the major problem with this is that the fan cycles on and off every 17 seconds 24/7. If it's in you kitchen or someplace you spend a lot of time it is noticable and irratating. It is a mystery to me why a unit that is clearly desinged for kitchen use would have a desing like this. Nonetheless, if you have it in the basement of garage, the noise will not bother you. It doesn't hold 46 bottles unless you have the perfect combo of bottle sizes - Pinot and Bordeaux, still it's pretty good for it's size.

Comments about N'FINITY PRO 46 Dual Zone Wine Cellar (Stainless Steel Right Hinge):

This N'finity wine cellar is a great improvement over our older model N'finity Cellar. The new model is super quiet and regulates the temperature quite well. The only downside is that the metal shelves don't slide as easily the all wooden shelves in the older model. All in all we are really happy with our new wine cellar and would definately recommend it to a friend.
