Comments about N'FINITY 50 Dual Zone Wine Cellar Black Trim:

I had read reviews of these dual zone wine fridges, and was a little anxious when many people said it made noise. They are right. My husband and I are both disappointed at the fact that the unit turns on every 5-10 minutes and make a fair amount of noise like an engine "reving" up. I have found that it is quieter when the temperatures are kept in a closer range. I have the whites on 50 degrees just to keep it from trying to equalize all the time. This is inconvenient, because when I'm ready to serve a white, I will have to put in the regular fridge which defeats the whole purpose of having a dual zone wine fridge. Don't understand why they don't just design these with two separate doors and completely separate compartments instead of trying to keep one unit "dual zone."

Comments about N'FINITY 50 Dual Zone Wine Cellar Black Trim:

The cellar is as it is depicted on the website. So far it is running well and is reasonably quiet when the compressor comes on. It cooled quickly to the settings of 50F/55F in the zones (I have it in the basement). This promises to last longer than the last cooler I bought from WE.

Be warned, however, that like most cellars, this one vastly overestimates its capacity. Why can't vendors just be honest (i.e., conservative) with their estimates?! I have mostly Cab and Pinot bottles that are "common" sizes and there is simply no way to get 11 bottles across on a shelf like the literature accompanying states. The problem is that if you arrange the bottles as shown in the booklet, the cooler is not deep enough to keep them in that position, and will squeeze them together causing overlap and unsteady positioning; or the door won't shut. Count on 7-8 Pinot bottles per shelf and 5-7 full Cab bottles. The bottom shelf will only take 5-6 since it is not as deep as the rest of the shelves. I currently have 26 bottles in with 2 shelves empty, so estimate a total comfortable capacity of 35-45.

Comments about N'FINITY 50 Dual Zone Wine Cellar Black Trim:

The top zone will not set at any temperature above 50 degrees. So you can't store more than 30 bottles at 55 degrees. The product description never mentioned that. Also, the temperature is rarely what it's set at. It seems like it's always 2 to 3 degrees cooler than it's setting.
