Can I have a name engraved on this?
Casper on Dec 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes the bone is soft enough to engrave
Is the corkscrew designed for specific type bottles? Mine slips making it very difficult to remove the cork.
Paul W on Jun 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is a fantastic wine opener!!! The worm is longer than most cork screws so do not go as deep as you would with some openers. Also the fulcrum is not double jointed so you have to hold it tight to the rim!
Why does this corkscrew have the "Cépage" mark rather than the "Jean Dubost" mark that all the other corkscrews from this manufacturer have?
ellowine on May 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Cepage means grape just an added word for this unique one of a kind piece.

Quality not as high as price
Fit and finish not up to the quality you would expect at this price

Product OK, customer service poor
Product is nice, but not worth the price. Customer service was very poor - product was on back order, but I was never notified. When I called to inquire about the order (a month after ordering, with no word from WE after my order confirmation) the service rep acted as if he didn't care the product was delayed or that I had not been notified. I will not order from this company again.

Very Cool - But Slips
Have uncorked about 3,000 bottles, and finally bought this piece. Very solid looking and feeling, but does not grab the bottle well. Slips on more than half the bottles. My cheaper models are not as stylish or heavy duty, but work much better. Overall disappointed in usefulness and cannot recommend for use. It does make a good addition to the bar top for looks.

This was a gift to me to use at my wine events. It looked good, but it fell apart after a few times it was used. Its NOT WORTH TWO CENTS.

Overpriced item!
The grip to the bottle neck tends to slip and doesn't "grip" to the glass

over rated
overpriced, the finish is cheap, screw hard top extract. considering the price this item is poorly finished and somewhat hard to use. I have spent far less and gotten a better looking and functioning wine opener

Not what I expected
Very poor manufacturing processes. Grinding marks on bolster. Pivot pin was not aligned properly to the handle of the corkscrew making it unusable to pull the cork. Very poor workmanship. I expected much more from Laguiole and Wine Enthusiast.

would not stay on bottle lip!
Useless as a corkscrew as received! Modified bottom lip rest at my office with my dental drills.

This is not a corkscrew for all types of wine bottles. I returned this corkscrew.

Gift for my husband
Bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. He loves it! And he can be fussy so if he is happy I think it is a good item!
