I bought these wine tumblers to use on our extended day hikes. Our vacations and birthdays are usually spent on a hiking trail with our border collies. We usually pick a scenic spot or mountain top to rest with a bottle of wine, cheese, crackers, and, of course, dog treats. I wanted a wine glass that was practical to stuff in a backpack and not have to worry about breakage. These tumblers fit the bill as they are light weight and compact (no stems). They beat the plastic cups we were using before, hands down. The only minor faults are that they are easily scratched and it is hard to clean off smudges even with hand washing. And, since they are polycarbonate, you will get a plastic thud sound instead of a glass "click" when toasting the occasion.

Service and delivery comments:

When ordered, I was told they were on back-order for several weeks. That time line was extended twice for total of six weeks. This delay was not a problem for me, personally.

We use these tumblers on our boat. They are so much more attractive than grocery store plastic cups. Two of my dockmates have admired mine so much, theypurchased the same for their boats. There is no glass in boating so these are the perfect choice for entertaining on board. We just love them!

Wanted stemless durable wine glasses for use aboard long range fishing boats. I did find the edges of the lips a little sharp. Easily corrected this by polishing lips with very fine sandpaper (600 grit or finer).

These "u-shaped" poly tumblers are perfect for pool, patio or picnic use. They are thinner than other poly/carb tumblers I have. This is nice because they do not have that plastic look that the thicker walled ones do. These reflect light just like glass. Great in our motorcoach too.

I purchased these glasses a couple years ago too. I still like them so much I bought another 4. They're TOTALLY DIFFERENT now. Here are 3 differences that are VERY APPARENT from the moment you take them out of the box:

Much different and cheaper plastic.
Poor workmanship (inconsistent rims).
Visible seams (showing where 2 pieces were molded together).

I'm very disappointed they switched to such a cheap alternative just to make a buck (I'm sure the profit margin on the newer models are larger than the old. Same price, but the quality is 100% worse!).

I have purchased other items from wineenthursiast.com in the past, and am happy with the quality, but after this one I can't buy anything from them again.

Shame...

I thought this was GLASSWARE and they are plastic. Very ugly and cheap looking and this website has the worst customer service!
