Is this piece as dark as it appears on the web site, or is it more reddish or orange ish. I guess when I think of Cherry, I tend to think more red ish or orange ish, so I'm trying to figure out if more darker or red ish / orange ish.

It is a very attractive piece of furniture while also being very practical. I have all my liquor, cocktail equipment and wine and bar glasses stored in it. I also use the wine rack. It holds a lot of bottles and equipment at a convenient height. I love the interior light and the shelves on the doors. Everything is visible and easy to reach.
This is a very heavy piece. You will need to consider how you will move it from the place the delivery people put it to where you really want it.
It is a very attractive piece that will elicit oohs and ahhs from your friends and family. Once I got the piece where I wanted it to be, I was extremely happy with it.
The only thing I wish it did that it does not do is to keep the doors wide open. It is impressive when the doors are wide open, but they tend to drift back to about half way open, and there is no mechanism provided to keep them wide open.
I ordered this unit (and another) well in advance of X-mas in hopes of having for entertaining. I still do not have the unit and we are in the middle of Feb. I have never experience such a run around and got caught between vendor (WE) and shipping company. Since the other unit was damaged the shipping supplier would not leave this unit with us. We were told we have to refuse the entire order - how crazy is that! I have asked for cancellation without penalty twice and am told I would have to pay a restocking fee of 20% - how crazy is that! Very Very disappointing.
