I would probably not order it, mine was completely broken when I received it and I live in Florida. The item is very fragile and is not packed appropriately to be miss handled by any shipping company. I hope this helps.
In other reviews of similar globe decanter products sold by WE, the reviews state that the glass is too thin. Is that the same issue with this style? I really like to ship within, but Im afraid the glass will be too thin and will break. Also, is the stopper glass? Other reviews said its plastic, and would look cheap. Is it possible to make the gluing of the mahogany better? Or is that made by another company?
The globe is a work of art, the mahogany stand unfortunately was glued together sloppily, and the seams between the mahogany pieces don't quite mate properly. I'm concerned the cork will come off of the glass stopper, but he was a carpenter so nothing we couldn't handle, and unless you look close you don't see the glue blobs on the mahogany base. He LOVED it! Bonus- the look of awe on his friends faces when he shows them. In his words- it's a lifelong gift. I plan to gift him the rest of the set as time goes. :)
