I am looking for a Bevage center for our bedroom.
This unit does not say silent on the specs.

How is the unit designed to remove wine bottles from the bottom basket?
Daniel L on Nov 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It depends how you have the other shelves configured but even with a shelf directly above the bottom basked it's possible to get standard size bottles in and out fairly easily.
Can this unit be installed within a cabinet box for a more built in look? How does it vent?
MDutt932 on Jun 3, 2015
This is a free standing unit and needs approx 4" all around for venting
Does it run quietly?
Loretta S on Aug 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It's not dead silent because it uses a mechanical compressor so you can hear it turn on and off as well as an occasional gurgling noise when the refrigerant resets. Mine sits about 10 feet away from where I watch tv and i don't notice it that much. If the room is dead silent, you'll hear the frig; but, it fades out with a little ambient noise.
Does it leak water on the floor?
Daniel L on Nov 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The drip tray is resting on top of the compressor and most of the moisture should evaporate.
Since the unit is free standing you could check the drip tray once a month and check to see what is in the tray. The unit is also subject to where you live and what the relative humidity is and how it might effect the unit also. Be sure to allow a 3 " to 5 " clearance all around it.
I just received this cooler, and the bottom section of the back does not have a covering, is this by design? Or is a part missing? Thank you!
Judy P on Feb 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! This is actually by design. It allows access to the drip tray (if needed) and provides airflow for the compressor/condenser coil. Thanks!

Can this be put inside a closet style pantry (non walk in) on the floor? Pantry has a door. There is about 3 inches of clearance on the sides and front but only about 2 1/12 on the back
Ricak on Sep 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would not advise putting this in an environment where there is a lack of space for ventilation. We advise having at least 3-4 inches above and behind. If it is in an enclosed pantry then I would suggest putting a vent in the pantry door to let the hot air escape that comes from the unit.
Do you have a shallow free standing wine cooler that handles two bottles deep laying sideways that is at least 30 inches tall?
Maria W on Jun 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hello Maria,
Unfortunately, at this time we do not.
Good idea though.

Thank you.
Manual states it's a freestanding unit only, but it is sold with the credenza. Is there a certain amount of clearance required to allow the fridge to be placed inside of a cabinet?
T L on Mar 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We require at least 3-4 inches all the way around the unit in addition to removing the back paneling of the credenza.
Does the basket slide out to load wine bottles?
Daniel L on Nov 18, 2015
Just to confirm, it's 2 adjustable shelves and a basket. Can an additional shelf be added or will that little too little space to fit cans? What about 20 oz water bottles? Do you think they would fit better horizontally?
Ericka on Apr 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Thansk you for your question, the beverage center does come with 2 shelves & 1 basket. The beverage center does not have additional shelving that can be added, the water can be placed horizontally for a better fit.

so far so good
I got this as a gift for my 15 year anniversary at work. So far it has been pretty good. It keeps beer really cold sitting in my 100 degree garage... Only complaint is if you put bottles in the bottom section you cant get them back out without lifting the bottom shelf up. If you look at the picture shown you would never be able to get those wine bottles out - that metal rack holding them in doesn't move.

Nice compact unit
Received unit in timely fashion, & fit in my new cabinet. Was a little smaller than expected, but sleek design is nice.

Works fine, turns on often
The refrigerator works perfectly fine and looks great. The bottom wine holder is NOT removable, but standard wine bottles fit in and out even with the shelf above by just sliding in. The unit seems to turn on fairly often, even in a cool basement in winter time. It makes a small amount of noise continuously, which is drowned out if you have a television on.

Limited Temperature range
I prefer warmer temperature for red wine (above 43 degrees which is the high limit on this unit). Is the only solution to store the red wine and unplug the unit ?
