Individually handcrafted in a thirty-step process, the EuroCave Performance 283 will provide years of smooth, quiet, vibration-free service with the utmost ease of operation. Stored in these true wine cellars, your finest vintages will develop to their full potential. Also the security lock and key will keep your valuable collection protected.

Available with either 1-Temperature Zone, 2-Temperature Zones or 3-Temperature Zones.

The 1-temperature cabinet re-creates the natural deep cellar and ensures a constant optimum temperature between 55 °F and 57 °F, but has a temperature range of 41 °F to 68 °F. The hygrometer provides an LCD display to advise of humidity range. Built-in alarm alerts when humidity level has fallen below 50%. Water can be added to cassettes to increase humidity to optimum range of 50-80%.

The 2-temperature cabinet has 2 distinct compartments; the aging compartment (48-59 °F) for storing and aging your wine and the serving compartment (41-54 °F) for chilling white wines and champagne for service. The 2-temperature unit does not contain a hygrometer or a lava rock cassette.

The 3-temperature cabinet has 3 distinct compartments; The room temperature compartment at the top keeps red wines at their recommended serving temperature (59-72 °F), the aging compartment (48-59 °F) for storing and aging your wine and the serving compartment (41-54 °F) for chilling white wines and champagne for service. The 3-temperature unit does not contain a hygrometer or a lava rock cassette.

Beechwood Trim Shelving
Keeping bottles secure and spaced properly improves bottle stability and air circulation within the cabinet, helping to maintain humidity and uniformity of temperature. So now every bottle is fully exposed to optimum storage conditions within the cellar.

Charcoal Filter
Charcoal air filters ensure the natural ventilation and humidity control that encourages wine to mature properly free from damaging odors. EuroCave recommends that you replace your filter every year.

Led Interior Lighting and Digital Control Board
EuroCave Performance 283 series comes with 2 LED displays to showcase your wine without increasing the temperature and or damage caused by UV. The digital display makes adjusting temperature a breeze.

Security
The security lock and key will keep your valuable collection protected.

A Note About Bottle Sizes and Storage Capacity

When we reference bottle capacity for our wine cellars, we are referring to the maximum quantity of "standard" Bordeaux-size bottles that will fit into that cellar. In reality, as you can see from the chart above, there is no true standard size bottle these days as bottles come in varying styles, sizes and shapes. Some are extremely tall and thin (like a Riesling bottle), others are shorter yet wide at the shoulders (like the Pinot Noir or Turley bottle) and others are tall, wide and broad at the shoulders (like your large California red bottle). If you have any of these non "standard" Bordeaux size bottles in your collection, your capacity can be lower than what we state the unit can hold.

Here is our rule of thumb: If up to half of your collection consists of non-standard Bordeaux-size bottles, your maximum capacity may be reduced by 20-25%. If your collection consists mostly of these larger sized bottles, your maximum capacity may be reduced by as much as 40%. The one thing we do know is that all collections are different, and that's the great thing about collecting wine! Does this Eurocave 283 and other Eurocave models vent to the front or back? Can they be installed with surrounding cabinetry (built in?)

  The Eurocave 283 have compressor in the rear at the bottom of the unit. Recommended clearance would be 1" on either side , 2 " in the back and 6" above minimum. Eurocave also has a Performance 259 that can be build in with just 1" all around.

I had to choose between building a cellar or try a Eurocave to age and protect my more expensive wines. This is the perfect way for me to cellar great wines for the long haul. I've had a cellar in the past: it was noisy, did not maintain temperatures well and humidity control was non-existent. This is my first Eurocave and it has exceeded all of my high expectations. It is attractive enough for us to dedicate the space as a wine room, which will get more usage by guests than a cellar ever would.

too expensive probably. after delivery costs way too much. works well except one of the sliding drawers doesn't fit right and needs to be replaced. would be helpful if i could get wine enthusiast to return my calls or emails. customer service is inferior after sales.
