I always thought Eurocave would be out of my price range, but this cellar is a great value. The temperature remains nearly constant, the compresser is very quiet, and it has the humidity control that are the trademarks of the cellars. It fits perfectly in the corner of my kitchen, where space is at a premium.

You might wonder why this unit is (relatively) cheaper compared to other Eurocaves. Near as I can tell it's due to two things. One is that no glass door is available. Not a big deal since the aesthetics look pretty good to begin with. Two is that it does not have a charcoal air filtering system. Also not a big deal as long as you're not placing the unit in a dank cellar or similar area where odors might be an issue.

One caveat that applies with most stackable shelf models - the 150 bottle count assumes bordeaux style bottles only. When you account for odd shaped bottles (Pinot, Sangiovese, or fatter Cabernet bottles used by many CA wineries), your storage capacity is closer to 100-120, depending on your creativity.

Overall a great unit that I'm very pleased with.

My first impressions of this unit are still spot on, good looks, acccurate temp, quiet. However I wanted to write a f/u note on the capcity. If you put any non-standard bottle, and by that I mean ANY variation, you will have a terrible time getting anywhere near 150 btls in this unit. The shelving leaves no room for error, and it is impossible to get double rows front and back if the btls are even a few mm longer than a standard btl. This part is disappointing and it seems to be bad design by my asessment. There should be a cm or two of extra leeway in the shelving, particularly depth-wise for this to be a thouroughly good product. Very frustrating. I didn't expect the arranging of my wine in this unit to be a "fitting" puzzle in and of itself. A much more reasonable estimate woudl be 110-120 btls, packed in.
Otherwise though, I am quite pleased, and it is as represented.

Comments about EuroCave Chamber Wine Cellar (Solid Door):

This storage unit is a great design, and is the right compromise between size and capacity. It fit very nicely in the space we have in our apartment, and looks very attractive (although I would not put it in a prominent place like the living room or dining room). I wish there were more adjustment positions for the shelves because it seems you can either put them too far apart or too close together. But that's a minor point, and the only reason I give it four instead of five stars. It's very easy to store 100 bottles, a jigsaw puzzle to get all 150. The chiller at the bottom is a great convenience. It turned up easily, and cooled quickly to a precise temperature, athough the instructions are kind of vague and written in Frenglish. All in, I can't imagine a better value from the top brand in the business.

      Service and delivery comments:

Deliver was prompt, and the product arrived in perfect condition. The delivery guys were very careful with the product and with the disposal of the packaging. Only issue was that when they left it wasn't quite level in the space so I had to adjust it. Make sure they leave it level. They also won't turn it on for you, because the instructions say it should settle for 48 hours before you turn it on.

Comments about EuroCave Chamber Wine Cellar (Solid Door):

The Eurocave chamber is a smart looking unit that is made by the best in the business. I like the brushed chrome on the black door and I love the footprint even more! If you are short on depth, this is the unit to get! Other than adding extra shelves if needed, I love that it's an all-in-one unit ready to just be plugged in. To top things off, it's nice to have the ability to store opened bottles upright in the proper storage environment.

Comments about EuroCave Chamber Wine Cellar (Solid Door):

The product is beautiful and fits well in a NYC apartment but capacity is way overstated if you have ANY variety of wine bottles. Californias, Burgundys, Pinots, Ports and large format bottles make storage literally a puzzle. I can fit maybe, maybe, 100 bottles. Maybe...

          Service and delivery comments:

Excellent service and delivery. Absolutely no complaints. Delivery was timely and efficient with two knowledgeable delivery guys. I was surprised that the delivery guys knew so much about the unit and preparation. Very positive experience.

Comments about EuroCave Chamber Wine Cellar (Solid Door):

The Eurocave unit is truly an upgrade over the warehouse store wine refrigerators. Unfortunately, most bottles do not fit perfectly, thus capacity is greatly reduced. For example, Pinot Noir, large cabs, etc., do not fit well into the shelving slots, thus cutting my personal capacity to approximately 100 bottles.

This is perfect for me. My only open space was the garage. I wanted high quality but did not want to pay for aesthetics given that it was to go in the garage. Regardless, I do like the look and apparent level of quality. All good. Thanks!

Comments about EuroCave Chamber Wine Cellar (Solid Door):

Great temperature control and only fair on quality. I had one shelf fall out while I was placing full bottles on it and almost had a huge accident. This wine locker, while very good on the control and quiet side, falls short on storage configuration. These manufacturers apparently don't want to use their noggins to figure out how best to handle different size bottles. Don't count on the 150 bottle storage capacity. When you add in your pinots, oversized cabs and chardonnays, you will be well short of 150 bottles.

I have just got this set up and running, was delivered two days ago. Am looking forward to figuring out how to arrange my collection inside. The appearance is very clean and contemporary, and the unit is well finished. Very quiet so far. Cooled down quite quickly and the temp guage is pretty precise. So far I like it very much and would recommend it.

Comments about EuroCave Chamber Wine Cellar (Solid Door):

When set at 55F digital reads 56F+
                Top of compartment reads 64F
Bottom of main chamber reads 55F
                Bottom reads 50F
Currently filled to max with sliding shelf removed: 110 – 750ml and 15 – 1500ml.
Using the standard 750ml bottles should get close to if not 150 bottles. With the current design it is impossible to load anywhere near capacity without having bottles touch the sides. Thus you are unable to follow directions and this partially negates the effect of the rubber feet on the shelves designed to prevent vibration transfer to the bottles. Shelves are well made and fit perfectly.
Having been unable to physically see the product prior to purchasing I was shocked and somewhat disappointed as very little metal was used in the construction of the cabinet. Primarily some type of plastic. Trim, handle and shelf brackets appears to be all that is metal. Holes drilled in door to attach handle did not align with the handle.
Instructions and description of unit are lacking and unclear.
                Very quiet.
Very basic model with no frills. Will serve the purpose for which it was intended. I have it sitting on carpet and with the small footprint it is somewhat unsteady whn opening. Door closes very good and the unit rocks when opening if you don'd hold it while pulling on handle. Have it now for 2 weeks so will have to see if carpet settles giving a little more stability.
Not particularly attractive but it is called the "Chamber". I think it will be good for long term storage.
