This product exceeded my expectations. Having read some of the other reviews, I was initially not looking forward to assembling it. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the thought that went into the design that made it so easy to put together. I bought two of these and had them both assembled in a little over an hour. And that was while drinking a glass of wine! If you have problems hammering the small finishing nails into this soft wood then, quite frankly, you probably shouldn't be swinging a hammer at all. The finished product looks fantastic in my new wine cellar.

I realize that the physical dimensions of this item preclude certain types of assembly (i.e., wood screws would probably split the wood rack) but there have got to be other ways to assemble a rack like this (other than the included 4 penny finishing nails). Also, if you're not using this as part of a wine cellar (I am not, at the moment), be advised that the assembly instructions probably need some modification to ensure that the base of the rack is square and level -- the instructions tell you to start from the middle, increasing the likelihood that you'll end up with uneven pieces on the bottom, resulting in a "tipsy" rack.
