I am currently awaiting the delivery of my Barrel Stave Hanging Stemware Rack, however I did not locate any information about the chains or clamps (if any) that are needed. Could you please provide me with what products i need to purchase to ensure a great assembly. What is the ideal length and type of chain and are there any other items I need to purchase prior to assembly.

Thank You,
Linda Gist

BEST ANSWER: Obtain chain links at the desired length from your favorite hardware store. It can really be hung as high or as low as you want – just make it so you can reach your stems with ease, but high enough that you're not likely to bump into it. OR buy this version that actually comes with the chains: http://www.wineenthusiast.com/vintage-oak-hanging-wine-glass-rack.asp
Can 2.5 inch diameter glass base hold in the rack or are they too small ?
SABINE D on Apr 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The staves are not evenly spaced, so you will need to be VERY careful. A 2.5 inch will fit in some and stay secure (i.e. not fall through) between some rows, but other rows the base may be able to between the stem and the sides of the adjacent stave. I was unable to hang approximately 40% of my glassware due to this issue until I modified the spacing.
what is the measurement of the stem opening?
Marilyn G on Jul 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The one we now have has 7 "racks" whose openings are not consistent. They measure from 1 1/8" up to 1 3/4", but that's only the bottom opening. The part where the base rests is equally inconsistent, but measures right at 3 1/2" due to the attachment screws which are set at equidistant intervals. Having said that, the rack is made of barrel stays which will expand and contract with the humidity in the air, and since we live by the beach, they change somewhat throughout the year.
The rack is awesome however, and I highly recommend it! We love it!

Very Nice... however...
I was pleased that it didn't take 4-6 weeks. Got it in 2 weeks. Also happy that the 4 eye screws were pre-installed. Very nice looking. The problem I had was the spacers they used weren't the same as the picture. The picture shows wood blocks as thick or thicker than the formed wood. I got little round wood spacers that look lame.
